Hello,
I aquired with a purchase of a tec-II unit a GM MAP sensor Part Number 749 8216 but I can not find any info on it.
Does anybody know anything about this sensor, Is it for Normally aspirated? or 1 bar or 2 Bar boost (i.e. 2 or 3Bar total)?
Any help will be appreciated.
Thank you
Mike

The part number you gave does not look like a GM number... but "749" is the last 3 digits of a delphi 3 bar map sensor part number.

You could measure it's output voltage at sea level atmospheric (100Kpa) pressure to determine it's calibration. If I remember correctly, when you apply 5v to the sensor on pin C, zero volts on pin A, you should see about 1.7 to 2 volts on pin B if it is a 3 bar (300kpa) sensor. If it's a 100kpa sensor the reading will be closer to 4.5v at sea level. two bar sensor will read somewhere in the middle.

hope that helps
