We are a small blow molding company, mainly blowing various shape and size fish bowls for drink ware. We sell mostly to bars and restaurants. Our equipment was purchased from a company going out of business. We have not added any products to our line since. So I am in need of some help. We have a customer that is looking to get a custom cup the shape of a cowboy boot. The approximate dimensions are 11" at the tallest point and 7.5" at the widest point. My questions is, because of the shape will I need the parison to be as wide as the boot? The company making the mold does not have the answer. Our machines do not have reciprocating heads so how i know what size my mandrel will need to be. There is a lot of things i do not know about blow molding so any help or guidance would be very helpful.
Thank you
