Help WIth TIFF files

I have two Tiff files that I want to raster into AutoCad..
But my Problem is that I want to take these two images and butt them up together. Each has a border around the image and I can't get just the image and butt it up to the other one without this border being in the way. This is a Mapp that I am tring to butt together. What can I do?????

Dear kbravo;

You need to load the images into a program such as Corel Photo Paint or similiar and erase the offending borders. Then save the file back as a new tiff file.

On the properties screen for raster images, there is category "Frame Setting". Set this to FRAMES OFF and the border around the image will turn off.

I'm using Acad Map, I'm not sure about regular Acad, but under the pulldown Modify->Clip->Image. This works like a wipeout. You can select a rectangle or polygon for the area's you want to clip out. The imageframe must be turned on for you to select which image to clip.

1st line up your images as you want. Let them overlap as they need to complete the picture.
2, draw a line inbetween the images.
3, type "imageclip" and each image to the line you drew.
4, erase the line
5, type "imageframe" and selct "off"
6, and you're done

PS
To modify the images you need to turn "imageframe" on.
