We have drafting sheets that have a lot of views on them. One sheet can have 20 or 30 views on it.
Every view will have a particular note. Something like...

File No: <WRef3*0@DB_PART_NO>-BODYSIDE COMPLETE
View: TO CL-FLAT PAT.
Template: 11
Program: BV1HX
Revision: 001
LH SHN/RH OPP.
Change Log: ALL SPOT NUMBERS CORRECTED
Part Name: PANEL-DOOR POCKET OUTER

We sometimes do save as to the files and need to change the notes in each view. For instance I need to change every note so the Program says BV1HD now.

Keeping in mind that the notes are actually expanded into the views.

Is it possible to come up with a journal that will do a search for specific texts in all note inside of views and replace it with another text?

For instance, I would run the journal and it would pop up a small window for me to type in the text to search for and a text to replace it with.. ie...
Search = "BV1HX"
Replace with = "BV1HD"
Hit OK

The journal will search for notes inside each view on the sheet and look for "BV1HX" in all notes and replace it with "BV1HD" in every instance.

Dont know if it makes a difference but it would need to work in Team Center.

You can use part attributes for common texts and place a special string inside de note do reuse de attribute.
