I am planning to install a corrugated tank, oil filled, hermetically sealed distribution transformer of 11kv/433V, 160 KVA rating. The HV side protection is oil fuse switch and the mounting is outdoor, pad mounted, open to air. HV and LV are to connected by cables.
I would like to learn from experienced members of any special precaution to be followed and also the past experience with such transformers
Regards,

Suggestion: Oil filled transformer has the following advantages:
1. Smaller volume in comparison to dry type
2. Can be used for higher power and voltage ratings (not the case for 150kVA and 11kV transformer)
3. The cooling is more effective in comparison to dry type transformer
4. Etc.
Compare electrical data sheet parameters to the dry type transformer.
Consider dry type transformer (e.g. cast coil, resin etc.) for this transformer application for the following advantages:
1. Low maintenance cost
2. Will not explode
3. Air cooled
4. Durable
5. Etc.
Compare electrical data sheet parameters to the oil type transformer
