Is there a way of creating a hexagonal hole with the hole wizard tool, or another wizard? I like using feature driven component pattern to add fasteners into wizard-created holes, but if I want to add a Hexsert I currently have to cut-extrude a hole and therefore lose my pattern feature.

The work-around I've adopted is to create circular holes using the hole wizard, with a diameter the same as the across-flats dimension I want, dimension and constrain positions, then do a hex shaped cut-extrude, making one flat of the hex tan. to the side of the hole. Bit clunky, I think.

Is there a better, more direct way? Can you create custom holes and add them to the wizard? That would make my day :)

What's wrong with just patterning the feature? Feature driven patterns work with patterns weather they be a pattern feature or a series of TB holes.

You can also add your special hex feature to the Design Library.
