Hi All,

Customer specified 3.2 material certification for pump lifting points. Is it possible to provide 3.2 material certification for lifting points. Please advise us.

Can you elaborate more about the question?
And, is this related to the pump question, and may be suitable and move the posting to the "Pump Forum"?

In short, the material certificate must be certified by a third party inspector (TUV, Lloyd's,...). The 3.1 certificate issued by the manufacturer is not valid.

I would clarify whether the client is expecting a 3.2 type certifcate for the integrity and strength of the actual lifting part (hook, eye etc.). In other words, a third party inspection certificate against the design and test of a parts ability to withstand a certain mass. A material certificate will be required as well as documentation/test& procedure, to demonstrate the parts integrity. 3.1/3.2 certificates are not just for materials.

Per ISO, only the term Safety Valve is used regardless of application or design.
