Hi ALL, I am new in this forum. Can somebody guide me that in our plant there are two Auxiliary D-TYPE water tube Fuel Gas operated Burner Boilers of capacity 10 tons/hour Each with MAWP 45 BAR and Temperature having 225 to 250 Deg of Saturated steam. These Boilers are used in our gas processing plant for Gas sweetening purposes. So both Boilers are continuously Running since more than Two Years on some time full and sometimes on Partial Firing load because of Process Pressure variations or Fluctuations. So now we are going to take shut down for both for ALL related Integrity Inspections. My main Concern is about Boiler LEAK/PRESSURE test. So the Question is that Can we Conduct hydrostatic or Pressure/Leak test for each boiler under ASME or NBIC codes and standard and what standards say about how much years a boiler can be Hydro tested or Leak Tested??Remember that both boilers were hydro tested before first start up??? Waitnig for your early response

Your best reference and guide, is the National Board Inspection Code NB-23 or specifically NBIC NB-23 Part 2 Inspection - Current Edition is 2019. This publication which follows the ASME Code, is essentially for post installation and has criteria not found in the ASME construction code.

In NB-23 Part 2, you will find comprehensive notes and observations for pressure vessels including boilers plus discussions on age, maintenance and inspection methods and reporting etc.

Per ISO-4126, only the term Safety Valve is used regardless of application or design.
