Hi all, I need to know how to remove unwanted duplicate objects. I've made a drawing and somehow I've copied the entire drawing three times over itself. Now I have to click every object and select remove twice in order to delete the duplicates. There must be a command inside AutoCAD to delete all unwanted duplicates or to list them. My AutoCAD version is 2002 LT. Thanks in advance!

Hi,
I don't know, how You can remove duplicate objects in ACLT.

...Maybe You can buy the Lt-Extender ( ), and then You can use *.lsp-files ( thread555-48939 )

...or You can mail to someone, who has the full-version and the "delete-duplicate-objects-tool"! [thumbsup2]

If it is simple geometry, meaning not too complex you can hit erase, use a crossing window and cover everything. Then hit R for remove objects and singly click the elements you want to keep. For your reference, using a crossing window (when you selection box is dashed instead of solid) Autocad will grab anything and everything it touches, even things underneath other objects. But if your drawing is complex it might be cumbersome to sit there and singly click thousands of lines. You may be able to shorten that up a bit, by freezing layers and doing it layer by layer. When you freeze (snowflake) a layer you cant do anything to the stuff on the layer, but when you turn off a layer (lightbulb)you can and will hit the objects on that layer.

Overkill from the Express Tools does exactly what you need, but I am unsure whether or not it works in LT. Go to the FAQ, download Express Tools, and see if it installs.
Code:
OVERKILL removes objects whose geometry is redundant. For example:
Duplicate copies of objects are deleted
An arc drawn directly over a portion of a circle so that the arc cannot be seen is deleted.
Two lines drawn at the same angle so that they partially overlap are combined to form a single line.
Duplicate line and/or arc segments within polylines are removed.
