Hi All,
I'm New to this forum. I Work as Design Engineer in Valve manufacturing Industries.

I never designed any valve on my own. I love to design it on my own now. But I don't know where to start. I know some basic things like getting end dimensions, wall thickness, flow bore dia, etc,, for Gate valves, Swing check valves using using AMSE, API 600, API 6D standards.

Now I Want to design a Lift check valves in 800 Class, upto my findings from Google, I see Lift Check valves are from DN15 to DN100 upo 600 Class only,Is it Right?I'm not sure. API 594 is for Lift Check valves? So How to design for a 800 Class? 2-1/2".

Thanks in Advance,
Saravanan

Try to get a text book on valves and materials. There are several under google books. You will see that you begin with ASME B16.34. Try enlisting with a manufacturing association.
