Hi everybody,

Just finished my Catia V5 training and first time member here at eng-tips.com ...looking forward to sharing tips and techniques with all.
My first bump in the road.... I am trying to load a Product/Drawing which contains 300+ Sub-products and parts and I keep getting this message "Command Interrupted", any ideas as to how to load this up?
Some of the assemblies are Catia V4 models. I have also managed to re-establish the links to these model files thru the Desk command, but it seems like I got to do this everytime I want to load the assy.
Any ideas would be appreciated.......

Hi toyayo,

I have had this happen to me also.

Try using the CATDUAV5 function on the assembly.
CATDUAV5 is similar to the /CLN funtion in CATIA V4.

I have found that it worked on some products and not on others.
The only way round was to rebuild the product from scratch.
This causes other problems if you have and drawings hanging off the product that is corrupt.
Any drawings made from the original product that is corrupt
will not recognise the new re-built product, even when you try to relink the drawing to the new re-built product it will give you an error and will not recognise the new product, therefore the drawing in no longer able to update.

This is something that Dassault need to address, as it happens quite often without any reason and there seems to very little work around.

I know this doesn't sound good but hang in there.

Cheers,
jakey.

Thanks jakey,

At least now I know that there is a glitch in the system and it was not just my lack of experience. I will give this a try.
