hi...i want a prototype

hi,
i am working on a simulator which controls the level of an oil seperator ..can anyone suggest me a simple petroleum crude which i can use as my prototype in that research work...

i have seen that commonly diesel or kerosene and N2 is used i assume for safety reasons!
