Hello all, How can I hide or delete duplicate faces?
NX Version: 7.5

I have bunch of sheet bodies, all are duplicate in the same layer. I need to sew the sheet bodies but I can't. There are a lot of bodies and change layer or delete them one at a time is time consuming.

Any suggestions will be welcome.

Thanks
Frank.

OK, try this.

With the entire model shown (no hidden bodies) and displayed on the screen, go to...

Insert -> Combine -> Sew...

...and with the option in the 'Settings' section of the dialog titled 'Output Multiple Sheets' toggled ON, select one of the sheet bodies as the 'Target' and then for the 'Tool' bodies, do a 'Select All' (there's an icon on the Selection Bar for this or you could do a 'Ctrl+A'). You will probably get some message about 'disjoint sheets', just hit the YES button and continue. Now go to the Model Navigator and the last item on the list should be a Sewn Body. Hide it. Now go to...

Format -> Move to Layer...

...and use 'Select All' and move all of the 'disjoint sheets' to some invisible Layer. Now Show (unhide) your Sewn Body and you should be good to go.

One more question.

I have tried the same thing without toggling ON "Output multiple sheets". It seems to work too.

What is the difference between toggling ON or OFF "Output multiple sheets"?

Frank.
