Hide text on toolbars to save space

is it possible to hide the text on toolbars. i'm getting familiar with command icons now and don't need text as much as when I started. don't see the option in Customize>Options

Yes.

From the Toolbar Options drop-down, choose Add or Remove Buttons, choose your toolbar and it's the last but one command.
