Ever wanted to prevent model dimensions from being displayed and therefore mistakenly changed? Well, this can be done by placing the dimensions in a layer and blanking the layer.

1-Create a new layer, call it DIMS (or anything you wish).
2-Pick the "2D Items" option.
3-Pick the dimensions to place in the layer, and Blank the layer.

If you have ProE 2001, you can show the dims with the Layer dialoge box open.
If you have ProE 2000i/i2 or previous, make sure to show the dims before opening the Layer dialoge box.

Question?

Will this work for section dimensions, I have a relation driven spline that I use for Cam graphs and I want to hide the internal spline dimensions?

Michael

Well your section dimensions are your model dimesnions. But the layer status is not active when in the scetcher mode, so they do show up.
