High Bay Fixture Support

Typical high bay HID fixtures are available with either the hook or the loop on the fixture. Is there a standard that states which should go on the fixture and which should go on the structure? Do contractors or maintenance people prefer one over the other?

My preference, in the days when I used to work for a living before becoming a consultant , would be for the hook on the structure and the loop on the fixture. That is from an ease of use perspective only; I have no idea whether there is any guidance in the codes.
