does anyone make/modify an a580 5 speed transmission to support 1200 h.p.?

Transmissions are normally more critical to maximum torque than power.

torque at what rpm?? Lower RPM requires more strength - thats why diesel 1 ton pickups need extra strong transmissions.

Vehicle weight or intended application also matter. Drag racing vs towing vs hitting NOX while already doing 70mph - all vary different requirements!

Also, I did a quick google and didn't find anything. You will probably have to consider changing to an older transmission to get that level of strength.

Cool car. If you want to keep the trans you will need to find someone who can recalibrate the software as well as having stronger hardware. Maybe you would have better luch with an AMG upgrader in Germany?

There is some reference to the SRT team putting stronger parts into the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8, but they don't elaborate on what.

I see you aren't getting any hits on chargerforums.com either. ;)
