Dear all

I am studying a hydrogen production process with CCS.

In this study, I am considering CO2 capture at high pressure to mitigate the CO2 compression duty.
One option is JGC's HiPACT, which is an amine that can regenerate at high pressure.
Do you know of any other amine that can be used to increase the pressure in the regeneration column in the same way?

Thank you in advanced.

As long as the Hydrocarbon gas stream is not limited to very low CO2 spec, you can virtually regenerate any amine at high(er) pressures. This will of course result in:
1) Higher lean amine loading
2) Higher material cost for the lean amine circuit
3) Potential corrosion issues (depending on acid gas concentration and regeneration parameters).

HiPACT is indeed the solvent intended to be used for high pressure regeneration and I can confirm I have actually seen the (only?) industrial plant - in Elemir in Serbia:
