High Pressure Unstamped Equipment 3

I recently ran into a bunch of Chinese made CO2 extraction equipment. The equipment is not ASME Stamped. There appears to be no other pressure certifications either.
The equipment runs in the 3000 to 5000psig range. The operating temperature is near 140F.
The piping is all less than 1" in diameter but the extraction cylinders have an internal diameter of 8inches and a length of 60 inches.

I don't see a way to operate these units in the USA in a code compliant way.

Is operating them in the USA a OSHA violation issue or an Insurance commpany issue?
State law issue?

I have never encountered a pressure vessel situation where the pressure was so high and not code compiant.
Am I missing something and you can run these in the USA?

Thanks
Brad

Unless you can show that they do not count as a "Pressure Vessel" by size or pressure (unlikely) then these would appear to be interesting door stops.

The list on the link describes what laws are valid in each US state.
The same question arises often here about "I've just bought a pressure vessel but the nameplate has been removed and I don't have any paperwork / certificates)..." Same answer.

You made me smile, that just made my day. Good oneliner!

My usual response to the typical query is that the OP doesn't have a pressure vessel, he has a large lump of scrap metal....

Not just a problem in the US.

I have seen a whole processing plant sourced from China scraped. The start up business behind the project was completely unaware of the local pressure equipment regulations. Attempts to get retrospective certification failed.

As they should have :)

The problem with sloppy work is that the supply FAR EXCEEDS the demand

Thankyou for your feedback. I was not expecting there to be a way around having stamped vessels. I feel like it is too large a liability to operate the units at such a high pressure with no stamps. It is too easy for something dumb to go wrong and someone to get hurt. Interesting enough the wall thinkness must be less than 3mm as I saw one of the vessels sucked in due to an inadvertant vacuum situation. That is pretty thin for 5000 psi operating pressure.
