Hello friends,
I want to put you all a question. If we are going to provide a 990litres highspeed diesel daytank for a emergency diesel generator in a combined cycle power plant then which standards we should refer so that we can minimise or does not have to install spray system for it?
What does the particular standard which paves way for it say? Please explain in detail.

It depends entirely on where it is and what code authority has jurisdiction and insurance company requirements.. Some won't allow over 100gal at all. It think 600gal is the limit for UBC areas before it has to be treated as a class H occupancy with fire separation.

In most areas of the US, this would require fire sprinlers or other supression and separation with a 1-hour or 2-hour rating.
