Hi,
I'm working on a storage tank with fluid temperature of 300 degree centigrade and 35 kpa pressure. I want to know if is there any standard availabe for that.
API650 is applicable for temperature upto 250 degree centigrade (App. M) and 18kpa pressure.
API620 is applicable for moedrate temperature and upto 35kpa.
Any sugestion?

Why not just design it as a pressure vessel with a design pressure of 100 kPa ( min normally needed).

Also: If you get a response it's polite to respond to it.

If it's a very small tank, consider the pressure-vessel option as suggested above.
If it's a larger tank with flat grade-supported bottom, that bottom is not covered adequately by ASME rules. I would suggest in that case to design it as a non-code tank using the rules from API-650 Annex F, Annex M, and API-620 as applicable. Note that higher-temperature material properties are available in the ASME code.
There have been some large molten-salt tanks built for higher-temperature operation (thermal storage, I believe), you might looking in what was done with them.
Note that the current design codes are intended for various configurations, materials, and conditions, but they are not set up so that every conceivable tank is covered by one or another standard- and it is very easy to come up with tanks that don't conform to any particular standard. Most common with silos and leg-supported tanks.

Hi Guys,
Thanks for your recommendations. I read two articles which are sent by MJCronin and I have to follow JStephens recommendations for designing. Using both API 620 and 650 with regulations on material of ASME and using FEA.
Thnaks so much
