Some suppliers (from UK) have started offering Hot isostatically Pressed material and they are even trying to pass it on in ASTM grades (for example A 694)

Now the question is

Are HIP material approved under ASTM?
Are ther ASTM standards (Like we have for Forgings, Wrought Product, Castings) for HIP as a product form.

If A material made by HIP is cut and put under micro scope, what kind of structure should we expect?

The ASTM specs on casting don't prohibit HIP, but you can't use HIP to call something another grade or product. The original casting spec is still the one that applies.
