Hi,

I am hoping someone has a copy or access to SAA Int. 352 code. This code was one of the predecessors to AS1551.

We are doing an assessment of an existing structure and require the weld electrode strength. If anyone can assist that would be great.

Regards,
CRQUT

Going to try to revive this thread as I have the exact same question as the OP

If not the SAA Int. 352 code, then even just some rough estimates of weld strength in that era (1950s-1960s)

In NZ for the assessment of existing structures we use the following table. It notes 410MPa can be used. It also references some other documents where this came from. Obviously in a international sense most electrodes probably came from overseas, so some guidance from that time period might be able to be garnered from other similar international codes of the period.

You can find the entire document here, download C6 section.

ASI also have this page on Saa352 if you haven't come across it yet, but not sure if it allows a download if you're a member (I'm not unfortunately). If you asked ASI they would probably be able to provide you the appropriate information.

Thank you very much Agent666

This is a big help
