I have been trying to use the HMR52 program for the generation of a Probable Maximum Precipitation (PMP). I will be using this information in order to run a PMF analysis in HEC-1.

I open the program (HMR52.EXE) and it asks for an input file. How do I generate an input file? I've searched the web, but there is very little information on HMR52. Does anyone know of a manual for this program?

Is there possibly another program that is more user friendly that will generate incremental precipitation data?

Thanks for any help.

I'm not familiar with HMR52 but you can also use the free program NFF.exe. It is available at

It will calculate a probable peak flow based on a study by Crispen and Blue.

Good luck,
