Hold Temp. of Tracing

Hi,
We have Glycol tracing in our project. In our intrnal guideline, mentioned hold temperature of lines can be
50 degF or 100 deg F.
Why do we have just these two temp? and why 50 and 100? Is there any history for this? Is this a general practice or just something in our company?

Why your company is holding the line temperatures at 50 and 100 oF is answered by your company or its policies regarding the fluids they transport.

Holding a maximum temperature on a line is a general practice; what that maximum should be is determined by the individual, specific company or the application in question.

I've held temperatures up to 250 oF in lines; the fluid and the process conditions dictated those values.
