Hole/point on exterior cylindrical surface

Is it not possible to place a hole/point on the face of an exterior cylindrical surface at the intersection of two planes? See attached.

I'm attempting to put a hole/point on surface 1 where datum 1 and 2 intersect it. I understand there are two possible locations that would be defined. I'll take either one at this stage of the game.

Create two section curves (Datum Plane to Cylinder's face) and then select the intersection of the two curves as the point location for the hole.
