HOLE SERIES NOT UPDATING

I'm using hole series in an assy with 2004. It works fine until I come back to it and try to edit feature. I edit the size of the screw and then the location, and it changes the size but not the location. Could someone please help.
I have to underive the series and then move it manually but that is a major pain.

Do you have the location controlled by dimensions? If so can you not just change those dims to adjust the position?

I change the dimension and I see the point move and I ok that, the hole does not move.
The point is moved but the feature does not.
It baffling
The only thing that I can think of that could possibly do that is how I put the features in in the first place. I create a new configuration (ie temp config)so as to suppress other parts to do the series, then to quikly get back to all parts back unsupressed (ie default config). Then I delete the temp.
