Threaded holes (InvR8)
The Hole tool using the tapped option does not permit the use tapered threads (they dont come up in the list)
There does not seem to be any good reason why tapered holes should be excluded. It forces the user to add the hole and then add the thread which leads to a problem when the hole is being annotated in a drawing as it is not possible to add a note to the feature without having to manually add the hole thread specification.

There would appear to be a work round by adding a new thread definition to threads.xls and adding a parallel thread whose data is a fudged description of a tapered thread so that holes with tapered threads can be added and appropriate notes can be put on the drawing. Since at this time Inventor does not actually display tapered threads as tapered either in the model or the drawing this would appear to be a valid workround.
Is this the correct approach?? or am I missing something.

We gave up on this and just show a tapered hole created with a 'revolve' command. It's a bit of an annoying oversight, of which Inventor seems to be full.

X-refs anyone?
