What is the best detail for a hollow steel pipe tension pile imbedded in a pile cap. We were going to cap the top with a steel plate to keep concrete from going down the pile. Then either weld studs to the side of the pile, say 8 studs, two at each of the four quadrants. Or weld rebar to the side of the pile at each of the four quadrants and extend them up to the top mat of reinforcing, terminating with a hook.
