Right now I'm making a prototype for polymer mixing between LDPE and Wax, I search about static mixer but I don't want to waste so many material by using it, i like to mix for just 0,3 litre volume.
The first prototype i made it with a tube and a screw and then attach a band heater around the tube, while mixing it's rotating by using a motor. i'm not really sure if i already giving enough shear rate to the material. And the next prototype, i made some tube and some flange with hole the idea is to make the material flowing up side down (see the image).

The problem is the material i wanted to mix have some different properties, melting point and viscosity. If i want to make the mixture eutectic, how much proportions are required? to be honest i don't have a lot of knowledge about polymer, chemical and material.
Thanks in advance.
