I am looking for a little assistance in calculating the amount of draw down I can expect from placing two horizontal socks under the interstate in order to safely jack and bore across. We have been reviewing many calculations which do not appear to be accurate. Of course, contractor is looking for more money as a result of the newly discovered conflict in which the transmission main must be lowered. Does anyone have a calculation process which has been utilized successfully in computing the dewatering in construction of horizontal socks?
