Hello Engineers,
We are experiencing a problem on 40" Horizontal Gate Valves operation on Control Station. Just wanted to ask. What is the largest Gate Valve with horizontal alignment, you have ever used in your experience?
Thanks in advance,
Elike

Used up to at least 32". Should generally be no problem if larger and mounted and used (and constructed) correctly.

'Gatevalve' is a general description, please specify construction, fluid. flow, pressure, temperature, operation and problem (at a minimum) and alignation (horizontal = vertical pipeline, stem horizontal, or horizontal valve, stem vertical?). Knifegate or normal gate?

When I heard "horizontal alignment" I though that bore was horizontal and also stem horizontal (i.e. 90 degrees from "normal"), but as gerhardl says, there could be a lot of different options here - picture or sketch would be good.

Please define.

Also was the valve ordered like that?

Gate valves are not good in any sort of "control" other than on/off.
