Hi all,

Could you please tell me what is the better quality between hot induction process vs hot forming in die process???
My product is 3D bends made of carbon steel, and duplex. All of them will be heat treated after bending/ forming process.
At the present, I myself think that hot forming in die process brings back a better quality due to the bends will be uniformly heated and we have more variables to be controlled in the die forming.

I believe the induction bending process requires more effort and process controls to ensure an excellent product form in terms of ovality, wall thickness variation and mechanical properties. The pipe stick soundness and quality prior to induction bending will make or break the project.

With all things being equal, I would favor induction bending over hot bends with dies.
