Hi all ,
I have to design a line of conveyors type belt conveyor for handling hot bulk product about 400°C.
I would know if a manufacturer have still realize a conveyor for exemple coal industry or mine industry to transport hot raw abrasive product .
help of yours will be appreciate
Thanks

You should give more information about your requirements. What the material is, its density, its particle size distribution, what rate etc. Also do you want horizontal conveying, inclined??

At 400 deg C it won't be a rubber belt, maybe a steel belt of some type. Maybe a chain conveyor, but 400 deg C will anneal out hardened components.

Hi PeterCharles
before Thanks for your attention ,
for my problem , i want to transport a bulk material with density about 2 and the size of particules is about 1mm to 400x400x200mm!! in fact we have a sizing like coal in primary extraction. these thin particule is abrasive . we expect to have about 100 metric tons per hour for the flow rate and primary the conveyor will be horizontal but it will be able to have an slope to elevate the product if our customer do not which to have an excavation , the length to transport is about 200m and the top of sole ( rubber or metal) will be around 800mm above the floor level. So you'll see my problem is not simple , and that is in the difficulty we'll progress in the technics.
if you have an idea for a capability supplier to make a such conveyor , i will be very grateful.

have a good day

400 deg C is no good for rubber belts.
100 te/hr is not a high mass rate and at 2te/m3 is only 50m3/hr. But the maximum lump size of 400 x 400 x 200 will require a physically large machine.
Your options would seem to be a drag chain conveyor or a pan type conveyor where the pans are supported on wheels and tracks. A drag chain would be cheaper but use more power, a pan conveyor more expensive but use less power.
200m is a long way for a single chain conveyor, you will probably need a sequence of, say, 4 50m conveyors.

I could suggest a company who you could try, they are UK based they design bespoke materials handling systems they are called George Robson Conveyors. Look at this website for more information.
