Hourly Rate

Hi,

I'm looking for a salary indicator/or survey, for a Design Engineer using SW?

Story is, I'm under offer for the mentioned position- in Australia, I've just migrated here and have no idea, of what sort of salary is the going rate, and am having difficulty finding any salary surveys, I think because the industry is so small.

Difficult thing is, I have no SW experince, but lots of Catia/Ideas experience.

Rates for US/Europe, would also be useful to know.
