I need urgent guidance to apply spring as a boundary condition to avoid rigid body motion.

e.g. workpiece is clamped in welding or AM process at the end of simulation I want to remove clamp but dont want to allow rigid body motion due to high temperature. four spring at corners may help to achieve this but I could not realize a spring boundary condition.

Hmm... I didn`t understand your comment but many FEA solvers have option "Weak spring", than automatically add springs with low stiffness to avoid rigid motion.

`Abaqus has spring element but how to use them as boundary condition it is a challenge for me. How to put them to avoid rigid body motion.

Connect one node of spring to structure and constrain other node. All is simple.

Interaction-Module: Special -> Springs/Dashpots
You can directly fix the other end at ground during definition.

Do I need some changes in LOAD/Boundary condition in after applying spring through interaction????

spring not working does any one help me please?
