How can I create anf FEA useable mesh in AutoCad or Mech Desktop?

I have noticed in using FEA heat transfer analysis software That the long triangular shaped mesh results that Autocad puts out as a surface file makes for strange temperature gradient plots. To this end does anyone know of a good way to convert Autocad 3D models to square meshed grid files?
