Hello,

I am creating a autocad drawing and am trying to insert
some pictures into the drawing.
The problem is when i try to save, the images are not plotting.

Currently, i display the picture in Paint, cut the area i want and then i use copy and paste ( from clipboard ) and inserted the picture into the drawing. Everything looks great...until I go to create a plot file and than I lose all the pictures.

I looked up on the Autocad site and all i get is something about %Product Entities...but am not sure what this is or where i can find it.

Would appreciate any help...

Well, there is a much better way to insert digital images into autocad. Under the insert menu, select "Image Manager". It will then have the options to attach images, and manage the images which are already attached. The images get inserted without losing any of their information, and can be stretched to the size you want.

Hope this works out for you. I have used it many times and had no trouble with plotting or printing to various laser printers and full size plotters.

Hi,

follow structuresguy's tipp and check the layer of the images...

Well, I use several. The main laser plotter is an OCE 600 (?). We also have a color HP ink jet plotter, which prints the photos in full color no problem.

I also print out 8.5x11 and 11x17 on either a Xerox 555 copier or an old Hp 4V Laserjet. I can alos print out 8.5x11 in color on an HP 4550 color laserjet.
