How can I show parts in different positions

Hi,

I'm new(ish) to Inventor having not used it for around 10 years.
The model I have has pins placed in a components location holes.
The problem I'm having is that there are 4 components each having the location holes in different positions.
How can I show these on sperate views without the other views updating.
I've tried creating views in the model and locking them. This works for the components but the pins move around.

any help would be appreciated

Consider DERIVED parts.
Set up a basic part with an extra unused sketch. That sketch has several hole locations, not hole features.

From it Derive a new part and add a feature from one of the locations in the unused sketch. This part has a unique file name and part number.
Do that again for a different hole in another part.
Be mindful of file NOMENCLATURE and Part NUMBERING as you do this.

There may be Productivity Tools that help you with this, too, depending on what you want to do.


Ps.
Creators of model files named "Part1(copy 1)(copy2).IPT" will be lined up against a wall someday. You've been warned.
