How can predefined fields be mapped from old mesh to new mesh using *map solution?

Dear friends

I used *map solution a lot and it works fine in my modelling. Recently, I came across a problem with "predefined fields". The ABAQUS's documentation explicitly states "temperature and field variables are mapped from the old mesh to the new mesh". According to my experience, temperature is fine and it can be correctly mapped. Unfortunately, the predefined fields can not be mapped.

I am not sure this is a bug of ABAQUS (slight likeliness) or something wrong in my model. The below are some more details of my modelling:
--------------------
Job1.inp
....
**the predefined fields are input as initial conditions
*Initial conditions, type=Field, Input=myfield.txt
.....
*Output, field
*Element Output
...,FV,...
**the above requests output to database and I checked that the field variable is correctly output in the database file

Job2.inp
...
*map solution
...
*Output, field
*Element Output
...,FV,...
---------------------------------

I always got zero field variables in Job2.odb, which implies that the predefined field has not been mapped into Job2.
Does anybody have any experience with this or shed some light on it?

thanks
YTian
