PTC advertised that the new Wildfire has now a great feature, to save a part as for proe 2001 or 2000i2. I couldn't find this feature. Please advice.
Thanks!

Hi, This is Texaspete. When we save from WildFire to 2000i, 2000i2 and 2001 - does the save keep the parametics?
I have not seen WildFire yet. I should be recieving my maintance upgrade soon.
Thanks.

Thanks, im4cad
Is there a config.pro option? Can you provide me the steps about how to setup this function?
Thank you!

texaspete,

You will be able to save files in a format that can be read into Pro/ENGINEER releases 2001, 2000i2 and even 2000i. You will not be able to modify designs that have been brought into these earlier releases from Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire, but you will be able to use them to generate deliverables like drawings and toolpaths. These representations will also have an Associative Topology Bus (ATB) link back to the original designs in Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire, so that if you change your models in Pro/ENGINEER Wildfire, models being used in the earlier versions will update as well.

ediushu,

We don't have Wildfire yet, so I can't provide you those steps. im4cad

I have Wildfire Production and I cannot find the file type under the save a copy menu that will allow a file to be opened in 2000i, 2000i2 or 2001. The only thing is the .neu neutral file format.

I thought I did this in the original sneak peek 1, but it won't run any more. I have PreProduction on a laptop and Production on my workstation and neither of them have any menu choice for saving to a prior version of Pro/E.

I wonder if they ran into problems with the program and VERY quietly dropped it.
