how convert file from ideas 12 nx to ideas 8

I have a huge problem. I have a file in I-deas 12 nx and I want to transfer/open to ideas 8. is this possible?

Nope What type of file is it?

The only thing you can do is make it a step or iges file and then import that into I-Deas 8.

Well if it is a Universal File one may be lucky and get that file to import into I-Deas 8. Very Un likely but maybe.

If it is a package file I think you may be out of luck. I-Deas 8 is a very old version of I-Deas.

Keeping the history Will be very unlikely. SOrry finding a way to do this will be very tough. There is so many new features between 8 and 12 how is 8 going to read the new type features that the part has in 12.

I see in Tweleve you can convert a file back to I-Deas 10. I know this probably does not help you but I thought I would mention it.
