Hi everyone, I'm trying to find out how to calculate the vent area of a venting protection system, a dust collector with a burst vent to be more specific. The data I have of the dust material has a Kst Value of 350 and a maximum explosion overpressure of 5 bar (for example). How would I go about doing that? I am confused as to what is meant by the "maximum reduced explosion overpressure" ( pred, max ) . Where am I able to get this data from?

I am currently using EN 14491-2006 Page 12 as a reference:

You'll need a good reference for your inquiry, so I suggest the Fire Protection Handbook by the NFPA. I have the 17th edition and perusing thru the index I am finding a ton of information on the subject of dust explosion.
