Hello

i have to calibrate the coh elements in abaqus so that the base material (steel) and coh have the same resultant displacement, stress... (basically a homogenous body). the steel elements are C3D4, coh is COH3D6, the model is under uniaxial stress as seen in the picture. (the coh elements are in between the two bodies)

the problem i am having, is that i get strange readings in the S13 and S23 stresses. as i understand it, it's due to glue's resistance to deformation in x and z direction (on image). how do i correct this? i've tried the same value of G as the steel (G = E/(2(1+poisson)) ) but to no success.

the pictures are here:

i need to get as uniform stress state (homogenous-like)as possible, without any strange behaviour if possible. (such as excessive s23 stress -- these should be close to 0).

i know that i need to do that with material calibration (E/G1/G2), but how do i proceed? is the elastic modulus dependent on just the angle between the element's face and stress axis (uniaxial stress)
