How do I design this part?

Most of the design work I do is nice, easy flat surfaces so I'm a little lost here. How would I design something like this? It's an intake port that I want to make parametric. It starts off as a parallelogram but I want it to end in a circle. I made a guide line and used the swept feature while tapering it down. Must be a better approach. What would be a the best way to do this?

You can try something like this. I'm very good with splines so I would acctually use curves for my guide strings but this was faster for an example.
