How do I draw a parabola? 2

I am fairly new to AautoCAD. I am mostly self-taught and am taking some schooling also. I am doing an exercise that requires me to draw a parabola (it is a Photo Floodlight Reflector). I have determined the focus and I know the directrix. I have also located 8 points on the parabola but I cannot figure out how to draw a smooth curve through all of these points. I am sure that there is an easy way to do this but I have not discovered it yet. Anybody care to give a beginner a hand? Thanks in advance for any help that you will give to me.

If you are using cad14
Make a polyline thru the points, then polyedit the line and spline it; it will have the controls in the points and the line will de a curve close to the points; to fix this click in pedit again and type F for fit and bingo; now the control points are in the spline.
If you are using cad2000, just type SPLINE and click in the points, that is it.
