Hello,
I am using FEMAP v. 9.31. I need to create a model to determine the normal modes of a cylindrical shell partially filled with liquid. The axis of the cylinder is along the vertical direction, the bottom surface of the cylinder is closed, and the top surface of the cylinder is open.
I can create the cylindrical shell in FEMAP and determine the normal modes of an empty cylinder, but error messages keep popping up when I try to add fluid into the model and perform the normal modes analysis.
To introduce fluid into the model, I select Connect:Fluid Region, I select the inner surfaces of the cylinder, and I select the “z Free Surface” to be the height of the liquid. However, this is not working. I have searched through FEMAP examples in the user's manual and online, but I have not found anything that could be of use.
Could somebody please describe how to model a cylindrical container partially filled with liquid? I am new to FEMAP and would greatly appreciate any help.
