How do I realize the interfaces between the components of a schematic block diagram? 1

Hello!

I'm currently learning about Systems Engineering, I understand how to create a functional architecture but i'm struggling to turn it into a physical architecture because I don't understand how interfaces of components will eventually work.

From the diagram below, the interface between the "Intert Gas Pressurization Subsystem" and the "Oxidizer Storage Subsystem" is labelled as "Inert Gas Pressurant". This tells us that there will be "Inert Gas Pressurant" going from one to the other but does not tell us how that transfer will be achieved, how can we find out how the interface will be achieved?

OK, so, what does "Inert Gas Pressurant" mean? For that matter, what do the labels "Oxidizer" and "Fuel" tell you? Note also, the diagram carefully labels everything else with "Signals" and "Indication"


Nevertheless, it doesn't appear to me that the course material actually requires you to know what those terms mean or do.

The book learning Systems Engineers are a blight on engineering - they take all credit for making Powerpoint charts and no blame for promising untenable solutions. Take 10 years of engineering employment before studying the vapor-ware of Systems Engineering.

Know how I can tell this is garbage? All the nozzles are plumbed in parallel two only two (count them) solenoid valves. It's exactly this lack of attention that caused the 737 MAX debacle and allowed the original reliance on single ADIRUs to flag pilots to non-existent stall conditions on the NG.

Thanks for your input, I think that the labels show what is transferred between the components. So for the oxidizer it is stored in the "Oxidizer Storage System" and provided to the "Solenoid Valve (Oxidser)". I understand this much but where is the information about how the oxidizer goes from the storage system to the solenoid valve? Shouldn't there be an "Oxidier Pipe" or something along those lines to connect them?
 
The diagram clearly shows that. Do not follow this diagram if you are trying to build a rocket.
 
This isn't rocket science... Oh, wait, it is ;-)

The "wires" in such diagram are figurative, not literal; you don't seem to be questioning how the "indication" signals happen, but they are equally obscure. Likewise, what mechanism provides "Fuel Remaining"? There is an interface control document, or documents, that tells you the detailed specifics of each interface, assuming SOMEONE did their Systems Engineering job correctly.
