How do I use a formula in the sketch for an adaptive sweep?

Example: I have two non-parallel curves and I want to drag a sketch along these curves using adaptive sweep. Within the sketch, I have a detail that I want to be placed 1/3 the distance between the curves as the sketch moves along the spine. I've tried to dimension insection points with the sketch to the curves, and create a formula 1/3 times this dimension. The detail maintains a constant distance equal to 1/3 the original dimension. Is there a way to make this analysis as it sweeps through the curves?
