Hey Everyone,

I am new to ANSYS and I don't have a clue on how to do the following:

1. How do I apply different profiles to different line members? Ansys for some reason applies one profile to every sketch visible, even if I have different sketches for different lines.

2. How do I change the orientation of a beam?

Thanks in advance guys. This simple problem is killing me. Please see attachments.

Do you have multiple bodies ?

If not, when you create a "line from sketch", be sure to set it "add frozen".

Fantastic! That actually worked! Now my last question, how do I change the orientations of the beam? I can see their vectors coming out, and some of them are facing the wrong way. Thanks so much Orel!

Also, do I have to create new types of contacts for these regions? I've been trying to find tutorials online with no success.

okay, i managed to figure out how to change the orientation of the beams. My other problem is when I try to run my analysis, it seems like all the bodies are separated. Do I have to put them in contact some how?

In DM you can select your bodies and click form new part, this will "glue" them, they will share common nodes.

It depends on what you want to do.
